If the leather becomes scratched or too dry, the finish can normally be revived with just a little work. When you receive the boots, they may look darker or lighter than you expected, but this is just a characteristic of the leather. The boots will get lighter as you wear them and probably become scuffed, however a little careful brushing will remove any marks and then after applying the Rustical lotion or cream the boots will become darker again.
